BoardingHealth and VaccinationsOnly cats that have a current vaccination certificate against Feline Infectious Enteritis and upper respiratory infections (Cat Flu) can be accepted for boarding. Owners must produce an up to date inoculation certificate on arrival. Vaccination against Feline Leukemia is optional. Should the annual booster be due, it should be given at least 10 days before boarding. Details of flea treatment and worming will be asked for on arrival. No cat suffering from, or suspected to be suffering from, any infectious disease can be accepted. All cats will be examined on arrival, but the proprietor reserves the right to refuse admission to any cat showing signs of ill health pending advice from a Veterinary Surgeon. Un-neutered male cats over the age of seven months, will not be accepted for boarding as they could present an infection hazard. DietWe aim to ensure your cat is fed as s/he is at home – food requirements will be requested on arrival. All cats are fed twice daily- however, where requested, alternative feeding arrangements can be accomodated. Fresh water is provided at all times Cats requiring prescription only diets will require the owner to provide sufficient food for the duration of boarding. MedicationAny medication prescribed for your cat may be continued during its stay with us. Diabetic cats are welcome 24 hour veterinary attention is assured. Beds & ToysAll guests are supplied with moulded beds lined with a fleecy vetbed. If your cat has his/her own bed at home or favourite toy you are most welcome to bring this with you to help it settle in. Cats new to boarding find this a particular comfort. GroomingOwners may bring any grooming brushes or combs if they wish to, we have a plentiful supply of our own if required. We pay particular attention to persian and long haired cats. CompanionshipYour feline friend will not lack company during his/her stay as there is constant activity at the cattery. As well as the morning and evening feeding and cleaning rounds, all cats are checked at lunchtime and late evening where your cat can receive individual attention, be it play, grooming or quite simply a cuddle and fuss as required. Background music for the benefit of the cats is played throughout the day until the late eveing check. Should your cat be particularly nervous or timid, please let us know and we will endeavor to find the most peaceful accomodation for them.
